Capt. Tyler Trudell specializes in fly fishing and technical sight fishing throughout the shallow flats, backcountry creeks, and hidden waters of Florida’s Nature Coast. Based in Crystal River, he guides anglers in pursuit of redfish, snook, and seasonal tarpon across some of the most unique fisheries on Florida’s Gulf Coast.
Fishing from a technical poling skiff designed for shallow water access, Tyler focuses on creating quality opportunities for anglers who want more than simply catching fish. Whether presenting a fly to a tailing redfish or making a precise cast to a laid up snook, each trip is built around the challenge and reward of sight fishing in clear, shallow water.
A lifelong outdoorsman and licensed U.S. Coast Guard Captain, Tyler has spent years learning the waters of Crystal River, Homosassa, and Ozello. His passion for the fishery and dedication to the craft have earned recognition in Florida Sportsman Magazine, where he was featured on the cover for his expertise targeting Nature Coast redfish and snook.
When he’s not on the water, Tyler serves as a firefighter, bringing the same professionalism, preparation, and attention to detail to every day he spends guiding clients on Florida’s Nature Coast.
