Our Capt. grew up between Clermont and Crystal River, FL with the majority of the time spent at the coast. He has been fishing the Nature Coast as long as he can remember. Throughout highschool, Capt. Tyler worked in the Lodge department of Dick's Sporting Goods selling hunting and fishing accessories and sharing his passion for the outdoors with others. After playing college baseball out of state and coming back to Florida, Capt. Tyler joined the fire service and currently works as a Firefighter/EMT for Lake County Fire Rescue. The 24/48 schedule at the fire department allows Capt. Tyler to run charters/trips on his off days. Being an avid fisherman and having a passion to help and teach others, Capt. Tyler obtained his OUPV/Six-Pack License to allow him to pursue his dream job; a fishing guide.
Some of Capt. Tyler's fishing specialties include inshore flats, backcountry and fly fishing. His favorite fish to chase is the beautiful redfish, as pictured on the page but is no stranger to snook and trout fishing. Crystal River offers a unique fishery to anglers of all ages and experience levels. The combination of abundant species of fish, gin clear water, rock/oyster bar structures and healthy environment produces an equation for a phenomenal day on the water!
Capt. Tyler will ensure a great day on the water. His boat can comfortably fish 2 anglers but will fish more upon request. All bait, tackle, and licenses are included on the charter. All participants need to bring their personal belongings along with food, drinks and a camera for pictures of all the fish and wildlife you will encounter. Capt. Tyler is looking forward to sharing his passion for the outdoors with you while showing you everything the Nature Coast has to offer!
